Minicraft Guides
Practical help for the Minicraft web client.
These guides support the Minicraft web client at /play. They are not a substitute for in-game tutorials, but they answer common questions before your first session.
Controls
On desktop, movement typically uses WASD, space to jump, and the mouse to look. Inventory, chat, and hotbar actions follow Minecraft-style bindings shown in the client settings menu. Rebind keys there if sensitivity or layout feels wrong.
On mobile, use the on-screen joystick and action buttons when the client exposes touch mode. Landscape orientation and lower render distance often improve comfort on small screens.
Multiplayer
After you are comfortable in singleplayer, read the server connection guide. Match the client version hint with the host requirement when possible, and confirm with the operator that browser clients are allowed.
Performance
Close unused browser tabs, prefer wired internet when you can, and lower render distance in settings if frames drop. The first visit downloads assets; later sessions reuse browser storage where permitted.
First session checklist
- Open /play in a recent Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari with WebGL enabled.
- Wait for loading to finish — avoid refreshing repeatedly.
- Walk, jump, and place or break a few blocks in singleplayer.
- Open settings and note keybinds or touch buttons.
- When ready, explore multiplayer connection with a host you trust.
