Minicraft Mods
How modding differs between desktop Minecraft and the Minicraft web client.
Modding means different things on desktop Java Edition (Forge, Fabric, Quilt) versus a browser sandbox. This page sets realistic expectations for Minicraft—without listing unverified downloads or fake compatibility claims.
Browser client reality
The Minicraft web client at /play focuses on core sandbox gameplay in the browser. Client-side mod features may grow over time; when they do, we will document verified capabilities here instead of linking to unchecked files.
Server-side content
Some multiplayer hosts apply plugins or data packs on the server. Those changes affect what you see in-game, but they depend entirely on the operator’s setup. Ask the host what is enabled before you join.
When to use desktop editions
Mod-heavy survival, large tech packs, or shader stacks remain desktop edition use cases. For vanilla-style Minicraft online sessions, start in singleplayer, then read server connection if you want hosted worlds.
